Scotch eggs with house-made chicken sausage are the big seller so far at Iron Door Pub, now open in the former Cause space at Lake & Lyndale.

The scratch bar food is available until 2 a.m. every day. A patron at the bar recommended the chicken nuggets with kettle chip breading or the cauliflower fritters.

The taps include many Minnesota staples like Bent Paddle, Indeed, Insight and Surly.

A kickball league based at Painter Park has made Iron Door a go-to spot, bringing in 80 people after games to hang out and play flip cup in back.

Televisions throughout the bar are showing soccer, baseball and football games, along with extreme sports like Red Bull-sponsored airplane races.

“During the games this last weekend we were nice and packed,” said owner Dan Fehrenkamp.
