Harriet’s Inn is now open, showcasing indoor and outdoor fires, a popcorn machine and drink specials for Sunday football. A wall along 40th Street opens to the adjoining outdoor patio.
Tim Kreiser, vice president of operations for Green Mill Restaurants, highlighted Harriet’s house-made beer cheese, enormous jumbo tots, and a French Dip with prime rib smoked in-house. A range of Lucy burgers includes PB & Bacon, another stuffed with ghost pepper cheese and sweet chili sauce, and a Beer Cheese burger served on a pretzel bun.
Sangria on tap is made with burgundy, chablis, sake, honey and fall spices.
A bocce ball court is no longer part of the restaurant — owner Paul Dzubnar said they “just decided the patio was a better fit.”
On opening day, several neighbors walked over for a first look at the restaurant. One resident said he was glad to see a replacement for the former SuperAmerica structure on the corner.
