Cornbread Harris, at 88 years old a longtime staple of the Minneapolis music scene, is now performing every Sunday night at Grand Café, starting around 6:30 p.m.
Harris loves performing, though he said he can’t see or hear very well.
“I know the song. If I can’t see it, that’s okay,” he said.
He plays the blues and jazz standards on piano alongside saxophonist Glenn Graham and bassist Scott Soule.
Harris plans to celebrate his 89th birthday April 23 with a gig at Hell’s Kitchen.

In addition to Harris, the Grand Café hosts Dave Foley, who owns the record shop around the corner, spinning vinyl every Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
The café is also hosting a monthly dinner series with four courses served family-style.
